Abstrak / Ringkasan
This research is aimed to investigate the effectiveness of structural family counseling services in improving family functioning in the Pentil Community. Quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method is used in this research. To be more precise, this research employed a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique, with a total of 20 people. The samples were classified into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the intervention was depicted through data analysis techniques which involved the stages of normality test, homogeneity test, n-gain test, and independent sample t-test. Empirically, the results of this study indicate that structural family counseling is effective in improving family functioning.
